Our History

Established in 1937 by Elmer Poore as Clintwood Funeral Home. At that time, Clintwood Funeral Home was the first funeral home in the area. In 1959, Ferris Colley purchased the funeral home, and it has been Clintwood-Colley Funeral Home since that time.

Ferris' original ancestor was one of the first pioneer settlers of Dickenson County, "Fighting Dick Colley". 

Clintwood-Colley Funeral Home remains locally owned and operated. Local families serving your family in their time of need. We are proud of our rich heritage and strive to maintain a tradition of compassionate, personal, and ethical service to our community.
