Zola Hamilton, 74, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at her residence. She was born July 25, 1941 to John and Nelly Meade Cantrell. She was a lifelong resident of Wise County, of the Freewill Baptist Faith, a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Harold Dane "Howie" Hamilton; one grandchild Angel McCoy; four brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Dane Hamilton of Wise, VA; one son, Curtis Allen Hamilton and wife Christy of Wise, VA; one daughter, Shirley Diane McCoy of Wise, VA; 5 brothers, Lee Cantrell and wife Betty of Wise, VA; Ray Cantrell and wife Judy of Wytheville, VA; Kermit Cantrell and wife Ann of Catlett, VA; Doil Cantrell of Wise, VA; and Joel Cantrell and wife Sally of Pound, VA; one sister, Delilah Bishop of Castlewood, VA; Ten Grandchildren; two Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services for Zola Hamilton will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday August 4, 2015 from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Mitch Elliot, and Steve McCoy officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in the Cantrell Family Cemetery Wise, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Allen Mullins and Staff, Homemakers of Clintwood, Robin Singleton, Becky Fleming, and Donna Cantrell. The family will receive friends after 6 PM Tuesday evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.
