Wilma Faye Slemp, age 58, passed away at her home Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Mrs. Slemp was the daughter of the late Reverend Ayers Kennedy and Pearl Kennedy. Mrs. Slemp graduated from Clintwood High School in 1970 and was a member of Davis Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Ayers Kennedy. Survivors are her husband Tom Slemp, mother, Pearl Kennedy and father-in-law Haburn Slemp. Other survivors include; two sons Jimmy France and wife Becky and Tommy Tucker Slemp, three daughters, Melissa Rose and husband Eddie, Regina Slemp and Tammy Dotson, one brother, Dennis Kennedy and wife Jo Ann, one sister, Glenna Robbins and husband David, two nephews, Roger Lee Elkins and wife Jennifer, Dennis Kennedy,Jr. and wife Amanda, one niece Teresa Sykes and husband Jamie, thirteen grandchildren, Ashley France, James Ryan France, Caitlin France, Colton Wallace, Danielle Wallace, Chris Rose, Briana Rose, Laken Strouth Ellis, Brittany Dotson, Kayla Dotson, Zachary Keen, Peyton Couch, and Jaycee Lawson, one great grandson, Ryan Ellis. Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, August 21st, 1:00 PM at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Clifford Bevins and David Kilgore officiating. Burial will follow at the Slemp Cemetery, Tempest Branch, Coeburn, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Roger Lee Elkins, James Ryan France, Dennis Kennedy, Jr., Chris Rose, Tommy Tucker Slemp, Jackie Lee Slemp, Tony Slemp and Michael Slemp. Family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Friday, August 20th with a song service at 7:00 PM.
