Obituary

Willis "Bill" Eugene Hamilton 54 of Clintwood slipped the chains that have bound him for three long years and he walked freely into the warm light of God's love on July 26, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center with his wife and children by his side. Bill was born June 11, 1960 in Baltimore, MD. He met his soulmate in 2005 and were later married on February 14, 2008. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family and his furry sidekicks Rocky and Harley. He enjoyed spending time together with family and friends playing board games, camping, fishing, boating, watching movies and visiting flea markets. Bill was a combat war veteran of the United States Navy and served his country proudly from 1977 to 1989. While enlisted, he served tours on the U.S.S. Brumby, U.S.S. Joseph Strauss and was a member of Operation Praying Mantis. Bill was awarded the Navy expeditionary medal, Sea service deployment ribbon and the Battle E ribbon. Bill was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Bowling. Left behind to celebrate his life and mourn his passing are his wife, Diana Hamilton, sons Ryan Hamilton and Austin (Danielle) Hamilton both of Johnson City, TN, daughters Brooke (Josh) Fultz, McCalla, Alabama and Andrea Hamilton, of Pelham, Alabama Sister Candy (Edwin) Banacia of Pensa Cola Florida. Fur babies Rocky and Harley. Grandchildren Nathaniel Fultz, Nicholas Fultz, Natalie Fultz and Savannah Bryant. Father in law and Mother in law Earl & Gwin Perry of Clintwood. A very special niece and nephew Rebecca Barberi and Edwin Banacia, Jr. A host of special cousins, aunts and uncles as well. Special chauffeurs Donnie Paul Dotson, Andrea Moore, and Aimee Moore. A private celebration of Bill's life will be held at his home. Military honors will be conducted upon interment at the VA Memorial Gardens at Mountain Home, TN. In lieu of flowers, please honor Bill by going out to a movie, listen to some music, play some board games, argue about the game rules and visit the flea market.
