Wanda Lee Stanley, age 75, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. Mrs. Stanley was a lifelong resident of Clintwood and a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Eva Meade Yates; husband Bobby G. Stanley; daughter, Debbie Stanley; grandson Jessee Stanley; five brothers, Cloyse, Lloyd Eugene, Raymond, Roy, Jr. and Jerry Yates; two sisters, Margaret Ann Carroll and Thressell K. Browing. Survivors include her son Robert Stanley and wife Veronica and one daughter, Sharon Stanley, all of Clintwood; one brother, Dean Yates of Detroit, Michigan; one sister, Alpha Jean Price of Detroit, Michigan; special niece, Mary Ann Keith and husband Jeff; four grandchildren, Jason Robert Stanley, Leah Nicole Stanley, Jeremy Stanley and Jody Bill Hammon; one great granddaughter, Gracie Airel Stanley; special friend, Liz Ann Rose. Receiving of friends will be 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 20th, with services conducted by Pastor Lynn Vanover beginning at 7:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, May 21st, to proceed to Hill Ridge Cemetery for graveside services. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
