Obituary

Vivian Virginia Mullins passed away December 29, 2011 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a life long resident of Dickenson County and a member of the Clintwood Baptist Church. She retired from the Dickenson County School System. She was a member of the Chase Rebecca Lodge and VFW Ladies Auxilary. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Jim Rose; husband, Woodrow Mullins; granddaughter, Kristen Woods; one sister, Ann Standifur; six brothers, Stanford Rose, Henry Rose, Lyndon Rose, Nerman Rose, Cobe Rose and Rush Rose. Survivors include one son, Steven Mullins; three daughters, Cindy Stanley and husband Jerry, Pam Woods and husband Larry and Gwyn Patterson and husband David; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. N.C. Ratliffe, Dickenson County Home Health and especially to Patre Bolling. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bryant Owens officiating. Burial will follow at the family cemetery on Rose Ridge. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Sunday at the Clintwood Funeral Home.
