Obituary



Virgil Paul Fleming, 63, known to many as "Elvis" went to be with the Lord Friday, December 2, 2016 at the home of his sister.  Virgil was a friend to many and never met a stranger.  He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a member of the Church of the Brethern at Skeetrock.  He was the son of the late George and Phoebe Hall Fleming of Clintwood.

He was preceded in death by a special nephew Ricky Blansett.

He is survived by four brothers, Perlie Fleming, Earl Fleming and wife Susie, Creed Fleming and wife Eunice, and Kenneth Fleming and wife Connie all of Clintwood; one sister, Dorothy Blansett of Clintwood; a very special friend that he spent time walking and going places with Bobby Dotson; along with many other friends he enjoyed being with; he is also survived by many nieces, and nephews he loved.

Funeral Services for Virgil Fleming will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2016 in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Mullins, Lester Mullins, Harold Rose, and Earl Dean Yates officiating.  Burial will follow in Phipps Memorial Cemetery Clintwood where he will be laid to rest beside his mother.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2016 with a song service to be held at 7:00 PM.
