Clinchco, Virginia Violet Louise Rasnick age 88 went home to be with the Lord, Sunday July 22, 2012. A life long resident of Dickenson County. She was the daughter of the late Thurman and Martha Perrigan and is also preceded in death by her husband Willard Ray Rasnick, along with her children Buford Rasnick, Reba Rasnick, Sidney "Mack" Rasnick and Willard C. Rasnick, three brothers and three sisters. She was of the Christian Faith. Survivors are her sons; Alton Rasnick and Della, Clinchco, Enos Rasnick and Cherie, Alburn, Indiana and Edgar Rasnick of Clinchco. Her daughters; Rayetta Denny, Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Jewel Counts and Sidney, Clintwood, Deborah Bandy, Clintwood, Martha Swiney and James, Dungannon, Virginia. and Gloria Gale Shortridge and Steven, of Oakwood, Virginia; thirty Grandchildren and fifty great grandchildren. Special thanks to caregivers Deborah, Alton and Edgar. Funeral Services for Violet Louise Rasnick will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday July 26, 2012 at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Terry Price officiating. Burial will follow at the Rasnick Family Cemetery, Nealy Ridge Road. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 5 PM Wednesday evening with a service at 6 PM with Pastor Jeff Houck.
