Robert Lynn Meade III (Trey) of Clintwood Virginia was born September 13, 1991. He entered into eternal peace on November 11, 2023. Throughout his life Trey was known for his intelligence and athletic abilities. Trey excelled in all sports he played but baseball was his true love. From a young age he began T-ball and quickly began to shine. Throughout his years playing he won several awards and went to the national Pitch, Hit, and Run. He was all state in track, baseball, and football as well as LPD athlete of the year his senior year of high school. He was the quarterback, point guard, and shortstop. He loved sports but loved playing alongside his brother even more. He was valedictorian of his 2011 graduating class at Clintwood High School. He received a full scholarship to UVA Wise where he attended. He was currently employed by Timberline Drilling where he worked alongside his brother as a driller.
He found out what true love really was when his "baby girl" Layton Jewell Meade was born. He was a doting father who devoted his life to giving her the best that life had to offer.
Trey had the purest heart. He was known for his kind, caring, and quirky personality. He could make you laugh with just one word. He was saved and baptized at Hamilton Chapel Church in Pound, VA.
He is survived by his daughter Layton Jewell Meade, parents Robert Jr. (Bobby) and Cristal Meade , Brother Gavan and wife Sierra Meade. Maternal grandparents Joe and Jannit Reynolds, paternal grandparents Robert Meade Sr. and Sheila Meade. Nieces Stella, Scarlett, and Sailor Meade. As well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Layton's college fund. Donations can be dropped off or sent to Clintwood funeral home.
