Travis Eugene Stanley age 42, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Stanley was a 1998 graduate of Ervinton High School. After graduation he worked with A and G Coal Company and Darrell Rasnake Logging. He drove long haul for Marten Transport and was currently employed by Haliburton. He enjoyed life, family time, trucking, hunting and fishing.

Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Iva Jean and Orgie Stanley and Arthur Mays; Uncle Carl Mays, Aunt Anna Darlene Smith and other relatives and friends.

Survivors include his mother and father, Scottie and Peggy Stanley and wife, Angela Stanley all of Clintwood; son, Tucker Logan Scott Stanley and daughter, Brooklyn Paige Stanley of Clintwood; grandmother, Hazel Mays of Clintwood;  his brother, Jared Stanley of Clintwood; step daughters, Andrienne Mullins of Beckley West Virginia, Chasity Carico of Burlington, North Carolina and Jasmine Carico of El Paso, Texas; step-grandchildren, Isaac, Chalender, Xavier and Zenda; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 1 ^st , 7 pm at Peuther Chapel, with Joe Glenn Sluss, Greg Cyphers and Terry Marshall officiating. Visitation will begin at 5 pm. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, May 2 ^nd , at Yates Family Cemetery, Carter Stanley Highway. Family and friends are requested to meet at the church at 10:30 am to proceed to cemetery for 11 am service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Herndon, Charlie Williams, Tony Robinson, Kevin Breen, Tyler Smelko and Matthew Satterly.
