Thelma F. Mullins, 87, died at the Johnson City Medical Center on Thursday, September 22, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, the daughter of the late Carlton and Julia Mullins Fleming. She married Vilous T. Mullins on December 23, 1938. They lived in the Crabtree Hollow community of Dickenson County most of their adult life. Mrs. Mullins was a member of the Clintwood Bible Church. Surviving is her husband of 68 years, Vilous T. Mullins, Clintwood; two sons, Paul D. Mullins, Felton, DE, and Gary W. Mullins, Thornton, CO; two daughters, Betty C. Mullins Midlothian, VA, and Gay Nell Johnson, Clintwood; two sisters, Della Meade and Helen Perry, both of Clintwood; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services for Thelma F. Mullins will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, September 24, 2007 from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. The family will receive friends Sunday evening after 6:00 PM with a song service to follow at 7:00 PM. Active pallbearers will be Deacons of the Clintwood Bible Church; honorary pallbearers are Theo Yates, Mike Yates, Terry Yates, Palmer Yates, Betty Taylor, Mildred Yates, Anita Yates, and Oleta Yates. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children's Home.
