Teresa Lanell Deel passed away Friday, August 16, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Deel was born in Jenkins, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Virginia Hall. She was a graduate of Whitesburg High School, University of Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky and taught at Clinchco and Clintwood Elementary for 42 years. She was a member of Peuther Chapel Church, Delta Kappa Gama and Crooked Road Quilters Guild.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Deel was preceded in death by two brothers, Rodney and Warren Hall.

Survivors include her husband Cecil of Clintwood; sons, Marcus Deel and Lauren of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Philip Deel and Kristi of Abingdon, Virginia; daughter, Christina Monfalcone and Marc of Charlottesville, Virginia; grandchildren, James Deel, Charlotte Deel, Marian Deel, Henry Deel, Elyse Deel, Lindsay Deel, Allison Monfalcone, Connor Monfalcone, Emma Mae Monfalcone.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 18th, 6 pm at Peuther Chapel Church with Pastor Joe Glenn Sluss officiating. Visitation will begin at 5 pm until time of service. Family and friends are requested to meet at Peuther Chapel Church Monday, August 19th, at 11 am to proceed to Deel Family Cemetery, Happy Valley Road, Clintwood, where a graveside service will be conducted. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the cancer charity of your choice.
