Steven Roland Wallace, 57, passed away at his home in the Blowing Rock section of Clintwood, on December 10, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Wallace, and brother, Donald Wallace, both of Clintwood.  Survivors include his daughter, Kala Wallace and Kris Mullins, Grandbabies, Gannon Scott Wallace and McKinnon Rachel Wallace-Mullins.  Mother, Lavada Wallace and siblings, Jennings Bryan and Renita Wallace; Rebecca and Bill Elliott; Jequita and Dereck Ratliff; and Barry and Ligeia Wallace, all of Clintwood. He had 10 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.

Steve was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, and was most recently employed with Halliburton.  He was a kind hearted and gentle man who loved his family fiercely.  His daughter and his grandbabies were the light of his life, and he played a significant role in the lives of his nieces and nephews.  He was the first to tell his family that he loved them and he frequently reminded the younger generation that he was proud of them.  He loved his home back in the mountain and he will be greatly missed by every life that he touched.

There will be a private service held for family and close friends at Clintwood Funeral Home.  Family and friends will act as pallbearers.  The Wallace family would like to send its deepest thanks to everyone that has reached out and helped in every small way.  It is sincerely appreciated.
