Shirley Ann Edwards, age 91, passed away Saturday March 21, 2026, at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN. She was the daughter of the late McKinley and Ella Dora Edwards, a lifelong resident of Clintwood. A loving wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed gardening and crocheting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Edwards, brothers Malloy and Ben Edwards, sisters Thelma Mullins, Frankie Fuller, Gladys Hinchey, Mary Vance and Sarah Hall.

Survivors include her son Joe Edwards and wife Jan, Bristol, TN. A daughter Missy Johnston and husband Mark, Scott Depot, WV. A brother Larry Edwards and wife Frances, Clintwood, VA, Grandchildren Kaitlyn and Brandon Johnston, Travis Edwards, Dee Smith, great grandchild Murphy and Liza Edwards, along with nieces, nephews and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Shirley Edwards will be 12 Noon Tue. March 24, 2026, at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Austin officiating. Burial will follow at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Main St. Clintwood. Pallbearers will be Matthew Hall, Mark Hall, David Hall, John Hall, Kenneth Owens, Larry Edwards, Brandon Johnston and Travis Edwards. The family will receive friends from 11 am till service time.
