Shirley Ann East age 74, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at her residence in Kingsport, Tennessee. Mrs. East was born in Castlewood, Virginia to the late Clarence and Margie Steffey.  She was a member of the Riverview Pentecostal Church of Coeburn, Virginia. She was a long-time resident of Coeburn, Virginia and a former employee of the garment factory in St. Paul, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. East was preceded in death  by her husband and one brother, Clarence Steffey, Jr.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Woods and Lisa of Kingsport, Tennessee, Timothy Lee Woods and Teresa of Bristol, Virginia, James Michael Woods of Castlewood and Phillip Mathew Woods of Coeburn; four brothers, Bob Jack Steffey of Castlewood, Billy Joe Steffey "Turk" of St. Paul, Button Steffey of Dante, and Clifford  "Red Bone"Steffey  and Ellen of Abingdon; three sisters, Avis Wolf of Lebanon, Barbara Jean O'Quinn and Jack of Clintwood and Vanessa Handy of Bristol. Virginia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 22nd, 2 pm at Greenwood Acres, Coeburn, with Eddie Barker officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
