Shelby Jean Rose Boggs, age 86, left her earthly body and walked into Jesus arms on March 5, 2026. She was a cherished mother and grandmother but also a friend. She loved her kids fiercely and thought the sun rose and set in her grandchildren. Mrs. Boggs loved bluegrass music and cutting a rug before her health declined. She could be hardheaded and stubborn but had a tender loving heart. She liked to sew, quilt, and visit every thrift store around.

Mrs. Boggs is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Stuart Rose and Lillie Mae Bise Rose; daughter, Debra Jean Page; brothers, Arlis, Bill and Don Rose; a special cousin, Brenda Caldwell.

She is survived by her brother, Bud Rose and Judy.

Left to miss her forever is her daughter, Julie Lawson and special son-in-law, Bobby; one son, Daniel Boggs and very special daughter-in-law, Valerie; several nieces and nephews. Very special granddaughters are left to mourn her, Hope Lawson (Brittany Standford), Keira Boggs (Declan Horne) and Madison Burns. Very special friend, Earl Perry, which she thought the world of. Lastly, her beloved beagle Lucy is, also, left to grieve for her mama.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 12 Noon at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Todd Kilgore officiating and burial will follow at Stonewall Rose Cemetery on Hill Ridge. Visitation will begin at 11 am.
