Selmon "Bud" Stevens age 75, passed away Sunday October 21, 2007 at the Dickenson Community Hospital. He was born July 12, 1932 the son of the late James F. and Louella Stevens. A former resident of Gainsville, Georgia before moving to Clintwood. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a grandchild. Survivors include his wife Shirley Stevens, Clintwood, three sons; James Bobby (Tina) McGlothlin, Clintwood, Timothy Stevens, Anderson, SC. And Buddy (Kelli) Stevens, Gillsville, GA. Two daughters; Sharon (Rick) Salyer, Clintwood, and Elaine (Mark) Richey, Calhoun Falls, SC. Four sisters Nell Bennett, Maxine McNeal, Alene Mayfield and Lois Love all of Gainsville, GA. Fourteen Grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services for Selmon "Bud" Stevens will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wed. Oct 24, 2007 at the Clintwood Funeral Home chapel with Minister Joe Glenn Sluss officiating. Burial will follow at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery Main Street Clintwood. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. The family will receive friends after 6 PM Tue. Evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home.
