Sarah Kay Fleming Mullins age 75, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at West Hills Health and Rehab in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Mrs. Mullins was a lifelong resident of Clintwood and a retired teacher from Clintwood Elementary School.  She enjoyed watching baseball, hockey and other sporting events. She loved reading and pets.

Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Mullins, parents, Stewart and Zora Fleming and brother, Ray McCowan.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Mullins and Carrie of Clintwood; daughter, Caitlin Burke and Mitchell of New Tazewell, Tennessee; granddaughter, Abby Kay Burke; brother, Darrell McCowan of Haysi; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 14th, 5 pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Eddie Monahan officiating. Everyone is requested to meet at Lockhart Cemetery, Foxtown, on Monday, July 15th at 11 am for graveside services.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
