Sally Onedah Stanley, age 77, was released into the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 10, 2017 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky with members of her loving family keeping vigil through the night.
Sally was preceded in death by her Parents: Bertha and Johnny Puckett. Brother: Walter Grey (WG). Sisters: Rebecca (Infant), Glenda, Lois and Gay.
Sally is survived by her Husband of 58 years: Columbus Edward Stanley. Daughter: Onedah Stanley. Sons: Johnny, Farrell and Anthony Stanley Brothers: Roger Puckett and wife, Diane. Freddie Puckett and wife Betty. And Joseph Puckett. Sisters: Peggy Brooks, Arlene Puckett, Bonnie Runyon and husband Dan, Becky Woods and husband Dean, Pamela Puckett and Johnnie Thompson and husband Clinton. Brothers and Sisters in Law: Rosie Belcher and Josephine Hanson. Joseph Stanley. Jimmy Stanley and wife, Dean. Jerry Stanley and wife, Linda, and Danny and Dresdan Stanley. Aunts: Selma Johnson and Alma Puckett. Many Lambert, Puckett and Stanley cousins, nieces and nephews. Special Friends: Rose Alice Branham and Mary Lois Mullins.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm at Valley View Free Will Baptist Church, West Main Street, Clintwood Virginia with Song Service at 7 pm. Pastor Lynn Vanover and Brother Darrell Milgrim officiating. Funeral service will be at 11 am on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Valley View with burial to follow in the Alvin Stanley Family Cemetery off South of the Mountain Road.
Pallbearers: Jacob Crabtree, Justin Waldon, Lucas Stanley, Marcus Stanley, Robert Stanley, Bobby Hammons, Lowell Stallard and AC Blevins. Honorary Pallbearers: Walter Bryant, Clyde Hill, Chase Stone, Tommy Childress and Greg Dotson. At Cemetery, four wheel drive vehicles only.
