Lacy Ronald Fletcher was born September 13th, 1966 in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where around that time his dad Lacy Fletcher was working on the beltway in Washington, D.C.
Ronnie went to Clintwood High School and got his GED, he first worked at Clintwood Exxon with his uncle Roy Fletcher, he also worked for Terry Hillman at Maria Trucking for 23 years. Ronnie attended Peuther Chapel FWB Church. He was a devoted son, brother, dad, cousin, friend and husband. He loved spending time with his kids, grandsons and his motorcycle friends, "The Wood Rats", as well as riding his side by sides. He took many motorcycle trips traveling to Washington D.C., Myrtle Beach, Florida and Tennessee, as well as our beautiful roads in Virginia, including the Back of the Dragon. Ronnie was like a big teddy bear with that Fletcher grin and always ready to give a hug and help anybody he could.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his dad, Lacy Nade Fletcher, step-mom, Janie McCoy Fletcher, sisters, Tammy Fletcher and Kimberly Fletcher Hamilton and one step-brother, Randy McCoy.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss, two children, daughter, Jade (Mike) Simpson of Haysi and son, Logan (Emily) Fletcher of Johnson City, Tennessee; three grandsons, Dalton Simpson, Connor Liam McKnight, and Camden Lacy McKnight,Caiden Simpson, Aiden Simpson and Addi Simpson, of Clinchco, his wife, Teresa Fletcher; the Big Fletcher Family, his aunts, who loved him like he was their own son, in laws, and a host of extended family, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 25th, at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel from 5 pm until 7 pm, at which time a song service will begin. Funeral services will be conducted Friday April 26th, 12 Noon, at the funeral home, with Pastor Joe Glenn Sluss, step-brother Steve McCoy and cousin Gary Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Rose Ridge. There will be a motorcycle procession to cemetery, please wear your motorcycle attire. Pallbearers are Logan Fletcher, Mike Simpson, Dalton Simpson, Scott Stanley, Roley Bowman, Maris Mullins and Jerry Stanley. Honorary pallbearers are the Wood-Rats, his many motorcycle friends and Terry Hillman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cancer charity of your choice.
