Roman Lowe Stanley, Sr. age 67 passed away Friday April 11, 2014. He was born in Clintwood, Virginia. He was the son of the late Landon and Lea Stanley, a graduate of Clintwood High School, and a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for many years retiring with Ryder Dedicated Logistics. Preceding him in death are his parents and one sister Frieda Weeks. Survivors include his wife Cynthia Stanley, Rock Hill, SC; one son Roman Stanley, Jr and wife Melissa of Boiling Springs, SC; two daughters Nikki Hudgins, Athens, GA. and Angel Stanley, Charlotte, NC; one sister Loietta Dutton and husband Paul of Clintwood; seven grandchildren, Matthew Stanley, Brianna Stanley, A.J. Hudgins, Tyler Hudgins, Kevin Stanley, Jarred Stanley and Randa Stanley; one great grandchild Aliyah Jade Hudgins; cousin and great friend Dale Stanley and daughter Courtney and Jamie Bise special hunting friend, along with a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends after 6 PM Sunday evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7 PM, with David Mullins officiating. Burial and funeral services will be later in the week in Rock Hill, SC.
