Rickey Scott Stanley age 64, passed away Thurs. May 4, 2023 at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. He was the son of the late Paul and Sis Blevins Stanley, a graduate of Clintwood High School and lifelong resident of Caney Ridge. Rickey loved time with family, coaching youth league sports and the outdoors. A loving husband, father and grandfather and a friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Mary Stanley, infant sister Reda Gail Stanley and a brother Lee Stanley.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Stanley, a son Jason Stanley and wife Angela, all of Coeburn, VA. a daughter Shauna Thorne and husband Joshua of Roanoke, VA. brothers Ray Stanley and Reed Stanley of Coeburn, Wayne Stanley and wife Collene of Abingdon, sister Beulah Mae Marshall, Coeburn, step sisters, Connie Babb, Virginia Weidig, Rose Harris and Patty Cass, three grandchildren Vivian, Hailey and Harper.

Funeral Services for Rickey Stanley will held at 7PM Monday May 8, 2023 Rachels Chapel Church with Gary Stanley and Willie Stanley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 PM till service time. A graveside service will follow 1 PM Tue. May 9, 2023 at the Paul Stanley Cemetery, Paul Stanley Road Coeburn, Pallbearers will be family and friends. All wishing to attend will meet at cemetery at 1 PM.
