Rhonda Renee Salyer age 51, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Norton Community Hospital. She was born in Fairfax, VA.  Rhonda was a graduate of Clintwood High School and Mountain Empire Community College Nursing Program. She was of the Baptist faith, a loving wife, mother and nana.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley J. Newberry and a brother Kevin Mullins.

Survivors include; her husband, David Phipps of Clintwood, her father, Ronald W. Mullins (Sheree) of Pound, VA; daughters, Candace Day (Travis) of Big Stone Gap, VA and Natasha Wagoner (Josh Morrison) of Winston Salem, NC; her sisters, Rachel Mullins (Avery Jr.) of Clintwood, Hannah Mullins and Brittany Mullins of Pound, VA; grandchildren, Aubrey Rose, Kaiden Day, Travis Day, Abby Couch, Kylo Morrison and Isabella Phipps; special friends, Nancy Davis and Lisa Deanda.

Funeral Services for Rhonda Renee Salyer will be conducted at 1 PM Tue. Jan 19, 2021at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Cyphers and Mark Stallard officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Family Cemetery, Fairview Road Clintwood. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from Noon until service time.
