Randall Mark Fields, 50, passed away at the home of his sister on Sunday Oct. 18, 2009. He was the son of the late Billy and Erma Franks Fields and of the Baptist Faith. He was a graduate of Ervinton High School, and retired from VDOT at the Freemont, VA headquarters. He was known to his friends as "Cap" and "Cool" by his nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, a brother William Fields, and a sister, Kathy Fields, several uncles and aunts. He is survived by one brother Lonnie Fields, Abingdon; one sister, Sharon Rose, Brumley Gap, VA; his nephews Bryce Reynolds, and Matthew Reynolds; his nieces Roberta "Jason" Reynolds, Melissa "Billy" Robbins, Crystal Rose, Laura Fields, Kylie Rose, Katie and Chloe Owens. Funeral services for Randall Mark Fields will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2009 from the Graveside at the Fields Family Cemetery on Ramsey Ridge with Rev. Tommy Austin officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with a song service to follow at 7:00 PM with the Holbrook Family. Pallbearers will be Matthew Rasnick, Jeff Rasnick, Greg Lyall, John Collins, Eddie Fields, Jason Reynolds and Billy Robbins. Family and friends will meet at 12:30 at the funeral home parking lot to go in procession to the cemetery.
