Janice Dawn Duncan (Peachy) went home to be with the Lord January 11, 2015 in the comfort of her family. She was born on July 23, 1973. Mrs. Duncan was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and attended West Dante Community Church. She was a loving wife and mother and a wonderful Gran to her grandbabies. Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Davis; grandmother, Jenny Mitchell; aunts, Helen, Jan, Barbbie and Nan, Nan, Mary Surrett. Survivors are her husband, William Guy Duncan (Billy) of Dante, Virginia; mother, Katie Mae Carter of St. Paul, Virginia; one son, Gregory Duncan and wife Katie of Dante; two daughters, Robyn Austin and husband Chad of Castlewood, Virginia and Becky Neece and husband Eddie of Lebanon, Virginia; father and mother-in-law Bill and Donna Duncan of Dante; five brothers, Bobby Joe Repass of Kingsport, Tennessee, Dennis Repass and wife Vickie of North Carolina, Allen Hale and wife Sonya of North Carolina, and Jeff Hale and wife Karen of Coeburn, Virginia, Bebo Hale and wife Denise of North Carolina; three sisters, Barbara Witt of St. Paul, Jessie Hale of Castlewood and Jamie Garcia and husband Juan of Castlewood; three grandchildren, Madison Hale, Mercedes Neece and Baby Neece;sister-in-law Crystal Evans and friend Carter Brown; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and special caregiver, Wanda Matney of Dante. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 13th, at 7:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Meade officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 14th in the Trammel Gap Community Cemetery, Phillips Hollow Road, Dante, Virginia. Pallbearers are Chad Austin, Eddie Neece, Carl Hazzard, Juan Garcia, Brian Duncan, and Dalton Booker . Honorary pallbearers are Bill Duncan, W.C. Phillips, Jeff Duncan, Butch Wilson, Eddie Barker and Bobby Hammons. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Clintwood Funeral Home.
