Paul Rose age 84 passed away Friday March 13, 2009 at the Heritage Hall Health Care Center, Clintwood, VA. He was born December 30, 1924 the son of the late Robert and Susie Rose. He was a coal miner from the age of 13, and retired with the Honey Camp Coal Company. He was a member of the Honey Camp Church for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters along with his wife Bertha Cox Rose. Survivors include one son; Robert A. Rose, Logan, WV. And four daughters; Ava Rose, Patsy Mullins and husband Jimmy, Jenny Mullins and husband Ronnie, and step daughter Vivian and husband Donald Phipps all of Clintwood, VA. four sisters; Violet Rose and Dolly Stanley both of Clintwood, Eunice Reedy, Woodstock, VA and Betty Mills of Rileysville, VA., 8 grandchildren and 16 great-granchildren one great- great grandchild on the way. Funeral services for Paul Rose will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday March 16, 2009 at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the McFall Cemetery, Osborne Gap community. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6PM Sunday evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home.
