Patsy Lynn "Pat" (Hale) Taylor, 66, of Abingdon, Virginia, departed March 13, 2013 at home from natural causes . Pat was born September 16, 1946 in Clintwood, Virginia to Vayard and Margie Hale, the youngest of four children. She married Jerry Taylor on April 30, 1966 in Clintwood, Virginia. Pat is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Taylor of Abingdon, and two daughters, Elizabeth Hope Taylor of Abingdon and Lori L. Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia; two siblings, Jack Hale and Dorothy Eggleston, nieces, nephews, and aunts Frances Hale, Margie Martin, and Kathleen Hale. Pat was predeceased by her sister, Iretta Jan Sutherland, and both parents. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 15th, in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 pm with Johnny Branham officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday in the Hale Family Cemetery, Hale Mountain Road. Pallbearers will be Mathew Sutherland, Steven C. Greene, Chase Greene, Earnest Sutherland, Roland Hilgarth and Ronald Hale. Honorary pallbearers are David Martin and Craig Sutherland. Anyone wishing to follow in the funeral procession meet at the funeral home at 12:30 pm. Family will receive friends Friday at 6:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.
