Palmer Bruce Tickle, 79, of Clintwood, VA, passed away on April 22,2024, in Bristol, TN.  After graduating from Clintwood High School, Palmer served his country in the Army and later excelled as a contractor, becoming known as the finest bricklayer in the area.  He was a hard worker, both on the job and in his leisure time, he enjoyed golf and camping, and the company of his family and friends. Palmer was a devoted member of Grace Family Ministries until he was unable to attend.

Palmer was preceded in death by his parents, James and Goldie Yates Tickle; sister, Anita Keys of Hansonville, VA; and his father and mother-in-law, Burl and Pearl Willis.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kaynell Tickle; his son, Scott Tickle; his daughter, Pam Reed (John R); grandsons, Cole Reed, John M Reed (Whitney); a sister, Hilda Tickle Vanover (Curtis) of Myersville, MD; and his brother, Allen Tickle (Donna) of Clintwood, VA.  Mr. Tickle is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In accordance with Palmer's wishes, there will be no services held.  Clintwood Funeral Home is honored to care for and assist the Tickle family.
