Opal Mae Dutton age 96, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in the Norton Community Hospital, Norton, Virginia. Mrs. Dutton was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a member of the Flemingtown Freewill Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Dutton loved to garden and cook.

Mrs. Dutton was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Mary Moore; husband, Lacy Dutton; son Paul and daughter, Betty; granddaughter, Jessica Bolling; grandson, Robert Brian Phipps; great-grandson, Mason Dutton; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Survivors include 5 sons, Avery Dutton and wife Patsy, Farley Dutton and wife Susie, Danny Dutton and wife Pam, Lacy Dutton and wife Brenda and Dennis Dutton all of Clintwood; 6 daughters, Gaynell Jones and husband Jimmy of Martinsville, Virginia, Rita Poland of Leesburg, Virginia, Phyllis Moore and husband Kyle of Stratton, Virginia, Arlene Reed and husband Farrell, Peggy Phipps and husband Robert and Shelia Mullins and husband Jerry all of Clintwood; one sister, Oma Mullins of Coeburn, Virginia; thirty eight grandchildren, thirty six great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Saturday, November 25th in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel from 5 PM until 7 PM.  A service will be held at 7 PM.   Funeral services will be Sunday, November 26th at 1 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Lester Mullins and James Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sowards Cemetery, Clintwood.  Grandsons and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
