Ollie Stanley Mullins, 88, passed away at Norton Community Hospital on Monday, September 14, 2009. A lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a member of the Philadelphia Chapel Church, she was the daughter of Delmon and Princess Moore Stanley, and the widow of William Everett Mullins. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Delmon Stanley, her husband William Everette Mullins and her son James Gar Mullins. She is survived by three sons, William Lester Mullins, Freddie Mullins, and Danny Mullins, all of Clintwood; two daughters, Mary Katherine Phipps and husband Mack, Clintwood; Joyce Cox and husband Jonah, Clintwood; two brothers, Elder Stanley, Clintwood, Jessie Stanley, Abingdon; one sister, Lena Mullins, Bristol, VA; five grandchildren, Karen Lynn, Melissa Phipps, Phillip Phipps, and Steve Mullins all of Clintwood and Donna Sweet of Seymour, TN and three great-grandchildren, Geena Caitlin Phipps and Zoe Shea Fleming of Clintwood and Richard Austin McCoy of Seymour, Tennessee. Funeral services for Ollie S. Mullins will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with ministers Tarncy Mullins and Lester Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at the Stanley Family Cemetery, on Brush Creek. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Tuesday with a song service to follow at 7:00 PM. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
