Oleta White Yates age 90, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Yates was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a 1941 graduate of Ervinton High School. For twenty seven years she served her community as the Pastors wife and was a member of the Clintwood Bible Church for fifty years. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Flossie White; husband Theo Yates; one brother Bobby White; one sister Opal White Stallard and a granddaughter Bonnie Denise Davis. Survivors include three sons, Palmer Yates and wife Mildred, Mike Yates and wife Anita, Terry Yates and wife Tammie, all of Clintwood; three daughters, Linda Childress and husband, David, Debbie Hill and husband, Shirles, and Greta Davis, all of Clintwood ; twelve grandchildren, Kim Childress Carroll and husband, Bill, Brett Childress and wife, Aleta, Melissa Yates McKern and husband, Toby, Laura Yates Campoli and husband, Justin, Angie Yates Price and husband Eric, Valerie Yates , Tony Yates and wife Amanda, Amanda Davis , Steven Davis and wife Julie, Emily Yates, Andrea Yates, Chris Thomas and Blake Yates plus nineteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Ferril White and wife Betty, Jerry White and wife Ruth, Jim White and wife Shirley; one sister Pat Taylor and husband Jim. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday April 25, 11:00 AM at the Clintwood Bible Church with Gobel Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Zachary Yates Cemetery, Caney Ridge. Pallbearers will be Brett Childress, Tony Yates, Steven Davis, Blake Yates, Bill Carroll, Toby McKern, Justin Campoli and Eric Price. Family will receive friends Friday April 24, 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.
