Norma Jean Artrip Kendrick, 60, was born on July 22, 1953. She passed away on July 10, 2014, at the Pound River Campground, which she called "home" during camping season. Mrs. Kendrick was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Maria Lee Artrip; her parents, Willard and Leoda Artrip; husband, Hosea Stiltner; two brothers, Darryl Artrip and Donald Artrip; one sister, Judy Ann Artrip Meade. Survivors include her husband, Garry Kendrick, Sr.; one son, Hosea Stiltner and wife Lora and daughter, Gracie Deel all of Haysi; two step-sons, Garry Kendrick, Jr. and wife Lori of Clintwood, Larry Kendrick and wife Shelley of Coeburn; one step-daughter, Violet Harrison and husband Smiddy of Haysi; one grandson, Gauge Stiltner and three step-grandsons, Kealoha Kendrick, Logan Kendrick, and Mason Kendrick;sisters-in-law Ann kendrick and Rose Branham and brother-in-law, Johnny Branham. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 14th, at 11:00 am in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Don Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers are Garry Kendrick, Jr., Larry Kendrick, Hosea Stiltner, Kealoha Kendrick, Marty Davis, Smiddy Harrison and Matthew Harrison. Honorary pallbearers are Logan Kendrick, Mason Kendrick, Gauge Stiltner, Jonathan Harrison, Tyler Lyall and Audrey O'Quinn. Family will receive friends after 5:00 pm, Sunday, July 13th at the funeral home. A service will begin at 7:00 pm.
