Obituary

Nina Lee Rider, age 84, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 5, 2018. She was born February 16, 1934 in Clintwood, Virginia, daughter of the late Ava and Bill Stanley. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Ina Bea; her mother and father; and her brothers, Nickey and Bobby, and her niece, Liz and nephew, Denny. She is survived by her three sons: Danny (Charlene), David (Manuela), and Chad (Jennifer); 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Patty Jo Marshall and Emma Jean Fleming, and several nieces and nephews. Nina worked at Ford Motor Co. for 33 years prior to her retirement. She was an officer with the U.A.W., a member of the Pinckney Chapter, #145, O.E.S., and a member of the Red Hat Society. Nina loved spending time with her grandchildren, and playing cards with her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 7 from 2:00PM -8:00PM at PHILLIPS FUNERAL HOME, 122 W. Lake St., South Lyon. She will be laid to rest in Castlewood, Virginia.

Local arrangements:     Services will be conducted in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, April 9th at 7 PM with Mike Yates officiating. Visitation will begin at 5 PM. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10 AM on Tuesday, April 10th, to proceed to Temple Hill Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 11 AM, conducted by Stacy Potter.

Pallbearers will be Doug Stanley, Bill Lacey Stanley, Mitchell Fleming, Wes Stanley, David (Pokey) Stanley, Jamie Stanley and Billy Fleming.
