Nettie Lenora Hale age 92, passed away Friday October 5, at the Hertiage Hall Health Care of Clintwood. She was born on January 1, 1915 at Tom's Creek, VA. the daughter of the late Ora and Rachel Carico Evans. She was married to Willie Homer Hale on January 20, 1937. She was a resident of Dickenson County since 1937 and a charter member of the Dyers Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Easton, Lloyd, Richard and Denny Evans, as well five sisters Elsie Keith, Velma Hayes, Ann Estes, Beatrice Evans and Bonny McCoy. Survivors include five daughters and five sons; Charlotte Elaine Sego,Corbin, KY., Phyllis Irene Green, Clinchco, VA., Darlene "Dottie" Johnson, Circleville, OH., Willie "Pete" Hale, Weidman, MI., Letta McClellan, Clarksville, TN., Ira Homer Hale and Conny Hale, Hazel Park, MI., Larry Waldon Hale, Warren, MI., Gary Wayne Hale, Clinchco, VA., and Robin Mills, Spring Valley, OH. Two sisters Virgie Meade, St. Paul, VA. and Trudy McCarty of Lady Lakes, FL., sixteen grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbors. Funeral services for Nettie Lenora Hale will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday Oct. 9, 2007 at the Clintwood Funeral Home chapel with Robbie Hay and Carl Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Hale Family Cemetery, Stratton, VA. Pallbearers will be Gregory, Josh, Andrew, Curtis and Travis Hale, Chris Mills, Cody Mullins, Timothy Viau, Justin Wargo, Kevin Breece, Robert Scott Phillips and Travis Edwards. Honorary Pallbearers will be Herman Sego, Buddy McClellan, Kermit and Richard Green, Rick Coleman, Spencer Lee, Dean Fletcher, Tam Smith, Michael Sutherland, Hyter and Fred Kiser. The family will recive friends Mon. evening after 6 PM with a song service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to the Dyers Chapel Church 2693 Dante Mt. Rd.
