Nannie Louemma Severt was born in Dickenson County on November 4, 1920. Mrs. Severt passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 in the Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, Virginia. She was of the Old Regular Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Dickenson County. Mrs. Severt was a beautiful woman inside and out and always had a big hug and smile for everyone. She was so loved and will be missed so, so much by her family and friends. Jesus hold her so tight for us, please. Mrs. Severt was preceded in death by her husband, Allen G. Severt; parents, Walker and Sarah Woods Rose; brothers, Clinard, Joe, Arnold and Jim ; sisters, Hattie, Paralee, Dollie, Pearl, Addie and Marie. Survivors are her loving caregivers, favorite niece, Joyce Clevinger and husband Junior and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30th, at 7:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Elder A.L. Yates officiating. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, March 31st in the Bud Deel Family Cemetery, Lum Hollow Road, Prater, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 6:00 pm, Saturday.
