Nannie Bell Rose, 76, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 25, 2006. She was a Godly mother and true witness to the Lord. She fought the good fight, she finished the course, and she kept the faith. A lifelong resident of Dickenson County, she was of the Christian Faith, daughter of the late Harvey and Maude Counts Ball. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Dean Rose. Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Rev. Vernon Rose, Clintwood; sons Larry Rose and wife Audrey, Oneida, KY, Kerry Rose and wife Wanda, Surgonsville, TN, Jeff Rose and wife Cherry, Clintwood, Chester Lee Rose, Wise, Joe Rose, Clintwood, and Rocky Rose and wife Tammy, Wise; daughters Janice Stapleton, Kingsport, TN, Dottie Weaver and husband Tod, Kingsport, TN, Charlotte Willis and husband Joe, Clintwood; sisters Nellie Counts, Clintwood, and Daisy Farmer, Haysi; twenty grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren. Funeral services for Nannie Bell Rose will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Milgrim, Tommy McAmis, and T.J. McAmis officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Family Cemetery, Caney Ridge. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with a song service to follow at 7:00 PM. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
