Nannie Belle Austin age 81 passed away Wednesday January 3, 2018. Mrs. Austin was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County.  She was born in Dante, Virginia to the late Richard and Artis Willis. Mrs. Austin was a devout Christian and had been member of the Trammel Baptist Church for many years.  She worked at the family business, Austins Grocery, from 1957 until 1994.  Mrs. Austin was a volunteer with the Russell County Medical Center for over 5000 hours and was also a member of the Red Hat Club and Senior Circle.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Austin was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ace. E. Austin, 1 sister, 7 brothers and 1 grandson, Nathan Baker.

Survivors include her son, David O. Austin and wife Susie of Dante; daughter, Eugenia Baker and husband Dennis of Clintwood; grandchildren, Courtney Mullins and husband Luke, Kara Rose, Nakisha Robinson and husband Michael and Chad Minton; great grandchildren, Maverick Mullins, Jonathan Minton, T.W. Robinson, Nicholas Robinson and Destinee Bennett; 1 sister, Richie Minton of St. Paul; several nieces and nephews; special friend Eula Perrigan and care giver Ruth Chaffin.

Funeral Services for Nannie Belle Austin will be conducted at 7 PM Fri. Jan. 05, 2018 in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell Milgrim officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 PM till service time. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Sat. Dec. 06, 2018 at the Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, VA. Pallbearers will be Chad Minton, Jonathan Minton, Ethan Collins, Michael Robinson, T.W. Robinson, Nicholas Robinson, Luke Mullins and Dennis Baker. Anyone wishing to travel with procession to Temple Hill meet at the Clintwood Funeral Home at 11:30 AM.
