Nancy Browning Martin age 76, passed away Thur. Jan. 25, 2024 at Ballad Hospice House of Bristol after a brief battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Jess T. and Edna Colley Browning. She was a graduate of Clintwood High School class of 65 and a member of Martins Chapel Church. A health care worker for over 30 years she retired from the lab at Southwest Virginia Cancer Center, Norton, VA.  She enjoyed gardening flowers, sewing, crocheting and crafting. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, who had numerous friends throughout the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford Ray Martin, brothers, John J., Donald, and Paul Browning, sisters, Peggy and Glenna Browning and Ina Bolling.

Survivors include her son Stephen Martin and wife Regina of Coeburn, VA. daughters Myra Martin of Castlewood, VA., Stephanie Monk and husband CW of Abingdon, VA and Lori Martin of Bristol,TN one brother Hal Berman Browning and wife Ellie of Baltimore, MD. Grandsons Ryan Long and Haley Mays, Colton Long and Evan Ramsey, great grandson Remy Long. Special thanks to the staff of Johnston Memorial Hospital CCU and PCU, Ballad Hospice House of Bristol, Dr. Mark Handy and numerous special friends.

A Graveside service will be held Wed. 12 Noon Jan. 31, 2024 at the Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon, VA. with Darrell Milgrim officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-7 with service at 7 PM, Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel Tue. Jan. 30, 2024. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Cancer Charity of Choice.
