Myrtle Ailliene Vanover, 63, passed away at Johnson City Medical Center on Thursday, May 21, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born in Wise County, VA, the son of the late Roy L. and Jane Belcher Vanover and of the Freewill Baptist Faith. She enjoyed her many friends and the companionship of her family. A sister, Joann Vanover, and a brother Classie Lee Vanover preceded her in death. Surviving are one brother, Jimmy Vanover and wife Rosie of Wise; four sisters, Ella Latham and husband Robert, Pound, Mavis Steele and husband Jerry, Pound, and Marie Ventro, Pound; several nieces and nephews and her special friend, Leo Castle. Funeral services for Myrtle A. Vanover will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with minister Greg Cyphers officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Saturday at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with a song services to follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Vanover Cemetery, Bold Camp section of Pound, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
