Mitchell Ray Chandler. Age 73, left this world on April 11, 2026, surrounded by loved his loved ones. Mitchell was a retired coal miner and was of the Baptist faith. He attended Ervinton High School and worked for Lambert Coal and Rapcoa Energy. He loved the outdoors. Although he lost sight of this world, due to glaucoma, he always saw the good in people. He had countless friends and could always be counted on for a good laugh. He loved to laugh.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Lindel Guy "ChalkEye" Chandler and Mildred Pauline Addington Chandler; wife, Patricia Chandler; grandparents, Guy and Inez Chandler; son, Mitchell Colley; daughter, Michelle Lynn Chandler; aunts, uncles and other relatives he loved.

Survivors include his son, Clarence "CA" Chandler and Becky of Clintwood, Virginia; daughters, Daythrulla "DJ" Neece of Dante, Virginia and Cindy Blankenship and Jake of Haysi Virginia; grandchildren, Savannah Hale, Joseph Chandler, Dillon Chandler, Coy Blankenship, Gunner Chandler, Shane Neece, Peyton Hensley and Becka Blankenship; five great grandchildren; special sister, Joyce Eisenbarth and Frank of Jonesboro, Tennessee; step-brothers, Jeff Chandler and Ramona of Haysi, Virginia and Mark "Tony" and Jennifer Chandler of Smithsburg, Maryland; step-sister, Denise Anders of Jonesboro, Tennessee; special friend, Kyleigh Cox.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2026, 7 pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with James Holbrook officiating. Visitation will begin at 6 pm.
