Mildred Montgomery passed away, Sunday July 24th, 2011 at Norton Community Hospital, Norton, Virginia after a long illness. She was a 1992 graduate of Clintwood High School. Survivors are her mother, Susan Montgomery of Clintwood, Virginia, one brother Chris Montgomery of Abingdon, Virginia and two sisters Jennifer Johnson of Bristol, Virginia, Angela Elliott and husband Brian of Clintwood, Virginia. Other survivors are three very special nieces; Chale Montgomery, Katie Stone, Annie Stone; three very special nephews, Dalton Montgomery, Dakota Stanley, Matthew Stone; very special great niece, Janada Montgomery, very special cousin, Karen Price; special aids, Jennifer Fleming, Suzanne Wells, Stephanie Bentley, Christy Lambert and a very special friend Brandi Davis. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 27th, 3:00 PM at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Bennie Stanley and Brother Louis Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at the Colley Cemetery, Clintwood, Virginia. Pallbearers are Chris Montgomery, Brian Elliott, Dalton Montgomery, Matthew Stone, Bob Hall and Donna Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be the Dickenson County Ambulance Service employees. Family will receive friends Wednesday after 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Montgomery family.
