Melissa Ann Mullins, age 44, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Mrs. Mullins was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a 1988 graduate of Clintwood High School. She loved horses and crafts. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her father Avery Mullins, Sr.; grandparents Talmege and Leoda Mullins and Miles and Tennessee Yates. Survivors include her mother Gladys Mullins of Clintwood; two brothers Jeffery Scott Mullins, Avery Mullins, Jr. and special sister Angela all of Clintwood; three sisters, Susan Rose and husband Jeffery of Clintwood, Linda Scocca and Brenda Richard of Florida; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 4th at 6:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. A song service will be begin at 7:00 pm with Joe Glenn Sluss officiating. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 5th at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Buster Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Family Cemetery, Caney Ridge. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
