Maxie Hawkins, 93 of Coeburn, Virginia passed away January 7, 2026. She was a member of Rachel Chapel Church and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Hawkins enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking and cookbooks. She liked her pets and animals. Mom, through the years you have blessed me in so many ways. Your love, caring and encouragement have made an incredible difference in my life.

Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Harriet Stanley; husband, Clayton Hawkins; son Blake Hawkins; sister, Draxie Stanley and brother, Allen Stanley.

Survivors include her daughter, Magdalene (Danny) Tompkins of Wise, Virginia and son, Raymond (Tammy) Hawkins of Coeburn, Virginia; grandchildren, Mamie (Kenny) Thacker of Augusta, Georgia and Isaac Hawkins of Coeburn, Virginia; great grandchildren, Dustin Fields of Norton, Virginia, Austin Fields of Augusta, Georgia and Dalton (Savannah) Thacker of Augusta, Georgia.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 9th, 2026, at 7 pm at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Phipps and Willie Stanley officiating. Visitation will begin at 6 pm. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 10th, at 2 pm at Hawkins Cemetery, Coeburn Road. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
