Maude Ellen Rose was born on November 3, 1921 to Josh Rose and Bessie Lambert Rose. She passed away on November 2, 2016, one day before her 95 th birthday.

Mrs. Carrier was predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Barbara Strouth Moore; brothers, Lonnie, Fred, Clyde, Josh and Carl Rose; her sisters Jessie Rose Underwood, Jeanette Rose Rutherford, and Eula Rose; the father of her children, Newton Strouth and her husband Orville Carrier.

She is survived by her sons, Cecil Strouth and wife Shigi of Hawaii and John Strouth (Barbara Combs) of Clintwood; her brother Claude Rose of Clintwood; two sisters, Margie Tolbert and Goldie Branham both of Bristol, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer Synder, Benna Elliott, Vania Elliott, Tiffany Elliott, John Elliott, Tammy Strouth and Jenna Strouth; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Carrier requested a memorial service. The service will begin at 1:00 PM Sunday, November 6 th at the Kiwanis Building, Foxtown Road, Clintwood. Everette Moore will be officiating.
