Mary Ruth Bise age 77 died at Mountain View Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer, with a special friend, Barbara Artrip at her side. Mrs. Bise attended Peuther Chapel Church, and enjoyed bowling. She looked forward to bowling with her league each week, and was an avid baseball fan. Mrs. Bise and her late husband were both members of the Seldom Kill Hunting Club, and enjoyed going to Bath County each year. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Gilliam; and her husband Clyde Bise, step-mother Agnes Gilliam, and her brother, John Robert Gilliam. She is survived by her brother, Dr. N.C. Ratliffe, and wife Polly, Clintwood; her sister, Louella (Frances) Blair, Clintwood; and her sister-in-law, Jackie Gilliam of Pound; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.
