Mary Colleen Baker age 68, passed away Monday July 6, 2026, with her loving family by her side, she was the daughter of the late Elzie and Artie Stanley. Mrs. Baker was a graduate of Clintwood High School and worked with Dickenson County School System custodial department. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved time at flea markets, yard sales and bingo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Gerald, Oliver Wayne, Yancy, Maverick and Earl Stanley and one sister Stella Farris.

She is survived by her husband Richard H. Baker, Clintwood, a son Jimmy Stanley and wife Ashley, Haysi, VA; grandsons, Mason and Logan Stanley; great-grandson Kayson Stanley; step-grandchildren, Kaci, Madison and Jayden Woods; brothers, Rob Stanley and wife Thelma, Dalton, Ga. and Sherman Allison of Ellijay, GA: sisters, June Hamilton, Coeburn, VA, Sherry Samples and Henry, Cohutta, GA, Cola Fletcher, Dalton, GA, Nancy Neece, Clintwood, VA,  Tammy Plumley and  Rodney, Dalton, GA, Sandy Hayes, Dalton, GA, and Rita Hamilton, Coeburn, VA; special niece and caregiver Colena Elswick, along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Special thanks to the staff of Norton Community Hospital.

Funeral services for Mary Baker will be conducted 11 AM Thursday July 9, 2026, at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Yates officiating. Burial will follow at the Baker Family Cemetery, Baker Ridge community, Pallbearers will be Jimmy Stanley, Mason Stanley, Logan Stanley, David Samples, Henry Samples and Cossie Elswick. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday evening at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.
