Martha Jayne Stanely, age 86, passed away Sunday March 1,2026 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Clintwood, the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian Yates.

She was a loving wife and mother and friend to many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ivan Stanley, brothers, Carroll Yates, Gene Yates, James Yates and Kermit Yates, sisters, Mary Jewell Robinson, Madge Fleming, Doris Stanley and Nancy Adkins. Stepmother Nanny Lee Rasnick, stepbrothers, Joe Rasnick, Arlie Rasnick, Fayne Rasnick, and Ronnie Rasnick.

Survivors include her son Scott Stanley and wife Paula, her stepbrother, Tivis Rasnick, stepsister Ida Branham along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.  A very special second son, Kevin Johnson, caregivers, Susie Fleming and Jeannie Johnson, special friends, Jackie Minion and Elvina Lowe along with pet companion Piper.

Funeral services for Martha Stanley will be conducted at 1 PM Thursday March  5, 2026, at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Kelly Fleming and Joe Glenn Sluss. Burial will follow at the Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, VA. Pallbearers will be Jerry Stanley, Andrew Tipton, Kenneth "Dump" Hill, Chris Stanley, Greg Stanley, Kevin Meade and Chuck Radeke. The family will receive friends from 12 noon till service time at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.
