Martha Jane Fletcher, age 78, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Fletcher was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. She loved camping and feeding her loved ones and friends. Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death by her parents, Worley and Winnie Powers; her husbands, Walter McCoy and Lacy Fletcher; a brother, Earl Powers; two sisters, Pearl Fogleman and Ruby Stanley. Survivors include four sons, Randy McCoy and wife Debbie, Steve McCoy and wife Wilma, Carroll Wayne McCoy and wife Mary, Ronnie Fletcher and wife Sherry; one daughter, Kim Hamilton and husband Gerald; nine grandchildren, Ryan McCoy and wife Brandi, Brandy McCoy Hill and husband Waylon, Caitlin McCoy Stanley and husband Garrett, Julia McCoy, Jade Fletcher McKnight and husband William, Logan Fletcher, Ashley Hamilton, Ray Hamilton and Meghan Mullins; seven great grandchildren, Colton McCoy, Christopher Thomas, Cassidy Thomas, Dayton Stanley, Connor McKnight Camden McKnight, Morgan Hill and a host of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give a special thank you to all caregivers. Receiving of friends will be 5:00 pm on Sunday, February 16th, with services conducted by Greg Cyphers at 7:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Chapel. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 pm on Monday, February 17th, to proceed to Phipps Memorial Cemetery for graveside services. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Perry and Larry Bowman. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Dickenson County Food Bank, PO Box 710 Clintwood, Virginia 24228.
