Mark Bise AKA Tank #46 of the Clintwood Greenwaves
Randall Mark Bise passed away May 2 nd , 2023 at his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family until the good Lord called him home.
Mark was born July 29, 1963 to Bobby and Dorothy Anabelle Bise, who preceded him in death, along with his older brother, Billy Ray Bise.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Cora June Fleming Bise; daughter, Ashley Renee Cress and husband Brad of Summerville, SC; step-daughter Cassandra Suanne Gayle and husband Robert "Bob" and step-son, Travis Kyle Fleming all of Clintwood; sister, Sherry Hayes and husband Randy of Rural Retreat, Virginia; sister-in-law, Sherry Bise Laughters; father and mother-in-law, Lewis and Peggy Fleming of Clintwood; brother-in-law, Michael Wade Fleming and wife Marietta of Bristol, Tennessee; grandchildren, Noah Cole Cress and Robert Ethan Blake Gayle; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mark was hardworking, innovative and wonderful at anything he put his mind to accomplishing. He and his wife enjoyed working together at many things; hay, cattle, cutting wood and working in his garage. He and his family owned Bise Trucking and Triple B Logging. He was employed by Alpha Metallurgical Coal Company for 23 years in numerous positions both above and below ground. He made many friends during this time. His work ethic was beyond reproach and his favorite saying was "Don't let your shirt tail touch your back until you're done".
He loved coon hunting and college football. He was an avid "Bama" fan.
Special friends are Randy Hayes, Kevin Johnson, Michael "Bubby" Gilliam, Robert "Bob" Gayle, Douglas Fleming, Jr., Josh Ramey and Jess Ramey.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 6th, 2 pm, at Peuther Chapel Church with Pastor Joe Glenn Sluss officiating. Visitstion will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Peuther Chapel Church Cemetery.
