Margie Ellen Rose Carty was born October 18, 1931 in Dickenson County, Virginia. She passed away November 24th, 2009, making her stay on earth 78 years. Margie was the daughter of Tivis and Effie Parrigan Rose. She married Earnest V. Carty on October 15th, 1948. Margie was a mother and homemaker, who lived most of her life in Dickenson County. She visited many churches while she was able. For the past few years she attended Sweet Home Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Tivis Rose, her husband, Earnest V. Carty, great- granddaughter, Rayleigh Abigail Carty and six brothers: Avery Allen Rose, Earl Rose, Jerald Rose, Verlin (Bud) Rose, Virgil Rose and James Rose. She leaves to mourn her passing: one daughter, Edna Vada Igo, Coeburn, Virginia and one son Herman Richard Carty and Debbie of Caney Ridge, Virginia, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Loretta Rose Hamilton of Coeburn, Virginia, one brother, Harold Rose of Caney Ridge, Virginia, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friends Ellen Hill, Amber Hitt and Kasey Hitt. We feel our loss is Heavens gain.
